Description

Day 1
Welcome to Lisbon
Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is the starting point of this route and the gateway to our itinerary. They say in Portuguese "quem não viu Lisboa não viu coisa boa". Translated: who hasn't seen Lisbon hasn't seen the good stuff. The city is impressive and there will be time to explore its most famous corners with a guided tour that will also include the imposing Hieronymites Monastery. In the evening, dinner and accommodation in one of the most exclusive hotels in the centre.
Day 2
Sintra and Fátima
In the vicinity of the Portuguese capital is Sintra, a town with dreamlike romantic buildings. Guided tour in the morning before continuing the journey to the great religious centre of Portugal: Fátima. Lunch in the town, guided tour and afternoon at leisure to enjoy the scenery and the facilities of the accommodation.
Day 3
Porto: the city of wine
If the city of Porto (Porto in Portuguese) is famous for anything, it is for its sweet wines. On the third day we will travel there and spend it touring the city with an official guide and tasting the wines on the bustling banks of the Douro River, where the most important sweet wines are concentrated. caves or wineries. The day will end with free time, a fantastic dinner to taste the gastronomy of the North of Portugal and rest in a luxurious hotel in the centre.
Day 4
Aver-o-Mar, Apúlia, Braga
On the fourth day of our trip, the walking stages begin. We will cover the 10 km that separate Aver-o-Mar and Apúlia, famous for its windmills on the dunes of a coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see. From there we will travel to Braga, the so-called "Portuguese Rome", where we will recover our strength with local gastronomy. We will visit the city and the hill of Bom Jesus before ending the day with dinner and accommodation in the exclusive Torre de Gomariz.

Day 5
Ponte de Lima, Tui
The fifth day, the last day in Portugal, begins in Ponte de Lima, the founding place of Portuguese history, covering the distance to the hill of Portela Grande. From there, we will travel to the Minho/Miño river, which marks the blurred border between Portugal and Galicia, for a fantastic lunch and an afternoon visit to the historic town of Tui, one of the seven capitals of the old Kingdom of Galicia. We will also spend the night there.

Day 6
Oia, Baiona
It is now time to return to the coast to continue its journey between the towns of Oia and Porto de Mougás before moving on to Baiona. Its port is where Columbus' ships arrived with the first news of America. In the afternoon, visit and relax in the imposing Parador, built on a promontory overlooking the sea.

Day 7
Vigo Estuary
We complete the first week with a short coastal tour between Baiona and the foot of Monteferro. From there we will move to Vigo, where we will enjoy the famous gastronomy of Galicia and where we will embark to discover the secrets of the Vigo estuary among sunken Spanish galleons and the shadow of Jules Verne's mythical Nautilus.

Day 8
Pontevedra
On this new day we will travel through the picturesque stretch between the village of Ponte Sampaio and the city of Pontevedra, which has one of the best preserved historic centres in Galicia. After lunch, we will enjoy its heritage with a guided tour and free time before dinner and overnight.

Day 9
Armenteira, Cambados, Caldas de Reis
The ninth day will be devoted to a tour of the peninsula of O Salnés, one of the main wine-growing regions of Galicia, where the famous Albariño wines are produced. We will walk along the bucolic stretch of the Way between the monastery of Armenteira and Ribadumia. From there, we will travel to Cambados to have lunch and enjoy a wine tasting at the Martín Códax winery before returning inland to stay in the town of Caldas de Reis.
Day 10
Santiago de Compostela
On the tenth day of our journey we will finally reach Santiago de Compostela. We will first cover the stage between Caldas de Reis and Valga and, from there, we will reach the goal of every pilgrim. After lunch in one of the best restaurants in the city, we will enjoy some free time to explore its corners before dinner and overnight in our exclusive hotel.
Day 11
Santiago de Compostela
The last day of our trip before returning to Madrid is dedicated to getting to know the holy city with an official guide, accessing the corners of the cathedral complex that are not always visible. After lunch, we will have free time until we leave for the airport in the direction of Madrid, where we will have dinner and accommodation in an exclusive hotel.
Day 12
Madrid, end of services
After breakfast, free time in the city until transfer to the airport. End of services.

Getaways

This type refers to long routes, which offer a great variety of natural and human spaces to visit and which require several days, usually two weeks or more. They are routes and destinations designed to really disconnect and live the experience to the fullest.

Exploration

These are trips off the beaten track and off the beaten track. They often require certain orientation skills or offer specialised guides at the destination.
