  1. Select the route you are going to walk / cycle. 
  2. Select your accommodation for each of the stages. The Add Stage button allows you to add a new stage to indicate the accommodations. 
  3. If an accommodation is not listed and you are sure it has reception and is on route, please, contact us.  
  4. The price is calculated in real time according to the number of pieces of luggage, the chosen route and the number of stages. 
  5. Once you have entered your details, if you wish, you can book the service directly. 

How much does it cost to transport my backpacks on the Camino de Santiago?

At Viando we work with local transport teams that cover all the most popular Caminos de Santiago. For this reason, the price per package varies depending on the stretch and the time of year.

Within the main season, from April to October (included), you can get the price for the transport of backpacks on the Camino de Santiago by filling in the fields of the form on this page.

Out of season, or if you have a special request or a tailor-made itinerary, the best way for us to adjust the budget to your needs is to ask us directly. We will calculate it for you and, if you like it, you hire it. Simple.

Summary of service conditions

We can only offer you this service under the following conditions: 

  1. You must provide us with the name of each of the accommodations. where you will spend the night along the route. If you are missing any accommodation or you haven't booked them all yet, we can help you with that, because we are a travel agency specialised in the Camino. Contact us directly. 
  2. Accommodation cannot be in a public hostelThese do not allow the collection and delivery of luggage. Most of them do not allow advance seat reservations either. 
  3. The accommodation must have a reception or, at least, a code that allows us to access it to collect or deposit the luggage. This excludes tourist flats and holiday homes (except for those you will find when searching in the drop-down menus on the form). If you have booked accommodation of this type and you want us to transport your luggage, you must tell us the alternative place to carry out the service. If the accommodation has a code, you must contact us so that we can verify it. 
  4. Baggage must be correctly identified with the tag provided. No items attached to the baggage, left on the side or tied to the outside of the baggage, which do not have identification, shall be carried as they could become detached and lost during carriage. 
  5. Luggage must be ready for collection at 8AM or earlier. at the reception of the accommodation. After that time, our team will pick it up and you will have until 15h30 to deliver it to the next point. If you leave your luggage later than 8:00 a.m. we cannot guarantee that it will be collected. 
  6. Baggage must not contain fragile, breakable or perishable items.. We will treat your luggage with care, but to avoid any problems during transport, ideally only clothes, shoes, hygiene items, etc. should be transported. Check the disclaimer on the full document.

Mode

This label indicates the intended mode of travel, based on two typologies:

In groups

These are group trips, where you are part of a small group of people who have chosen the same destination as you. Perfect for meeting like-minded people. Group trips usually have a guide who is in charge of overseeing the dynamics of the group, revealing the secrets of the destination and, in general, making sure that everything runs smoothly.

On your own

In this type of trip you have full control: you choose the dates and the pace. In addition, they are usually trips with configurable accommodation and services. It is the perfect mode for independent and experienced travellers, as well as for private groups of friends or families.

Type of trip

This label indicates the type of trip we propose to you based on the following options:

Getaways

These are trips that concentrate all their essence in two or three days. The aim is to live a series of experiences in a specific geographical area.

Half distance

These trips offer routes that take only a few days to complete and are perfect for most people who want to enjoy an active holiday without being too physically demanding.

Long distances

This type refers to long routes, which offer a great variety of natural and human spaces to visit and which require several days, usually two weeks or more. They are routes and destinations designed to really disconnect and live the experience to the fullest.

Exploration

These are trips off the beaten track and off the beaten track. They often require certain orientation skills or offer specialised guides at the destination.

Accommodation

This label indicates the type of services (mainly accommodation) we offer on each trip, based on three categories: 

Configurable

The trip offers different types of services and categories of services that you can choose from. For example, standard or premium accommodation. 

Standard

The trips in this group do not offer configurable options. The accommodations correspond to the standard category (not luxurious, but clean and in good condition).

Premium

Trips with this label offer non-configurable options. Accommodation and other services correspond to the premium category.
