How much does it cost to transport my backpacks on the Camino de Santiago?
At Viando we work with local transport teams that cover all the most popular Caminos de Santiago. For this reason, the price per package varies depending on the stretch and the time of year.
Within the main season, from April to October (included), you can get the price for the transport of backpacks on the Camino de Santiago by filling in the fields of the form on this page.
Out of season, or if you have a special request or a tailor-made itinerary, the best way for us to adjust the budget to your needs is to ask us directly. We will calculate it for you and, if you like it, you hire it. Simple.
Summary of service conditions
We can only offer you this service under the following conditions:
- You must provide us with the name of each of the accommodations. where you will spend the night along the route. If you are missing any accommodation or you haven't booked them all yet, we can help you with that, because we are a travel agency specialised in the Camino. Contact us directly.
- Accommodation cannot be in a public hostelThese do not allow the collection and delivery of luggage. Most of them do not allow advance seat reservations either.
- The accommodation must have a reception or, at least, a code that allows us to access it to collect or deposit the luggage. This excludes tourist flats and holiday homes (except for those you will find when searching in the drop-down menus on the form). If you have booked accommodation of this type and you want us to transport your luggage, you must tell us the alternative place to carry out the service. If the accommodation has a code, you must contact us so that we can verify it.
- Baggage must be correctly identified with the tag provided. No items attached to the baggage, left on the side or tied to the outside of the baggage, which do not have identification, shall be carried as they could become detached and lost during carriage.
- Luggage must be ready for collection at 8AM or earlier. at the reception of the accommodation. After that time, our team will pick it up and you will have until 15h30 to deliver it to the next point. If you leave your luggage later than 8:00 a.m. we cannot guarantee that it will be collected.
- Baggage must not contain fragile, breakable or perishable items.. We will treat your luggage with care, but to avoid any problems during transport, ideally only clothes, shoes, hygiene items, etc. should be transported. Check the disclaimer on the full document.
