Information on the collection and management of traveller data
In application of Royal Decree 933/2021, of 26 October, which establishes the documentary registration and information obligations of natural or legal persons who carry out accommodation and motor vehicle rental activities, it is compulsory for accommodation establishments located in Spain to collect data on travellers and communicate them by telematic means to the department of the Secretary of State for Security, which reports to the Ministry of the Interior.
Since 2 December 2024, this rule also applies to travel agencies, which are obliged to collect and manage a number of personal data of travellers that we would not otherwise need.
